Tasks
As Operational Procurement Manager, you ensure aircraft materials and components are available, compliant and moving on time, leading a team of around 8 FTE and representing Brussels Airlines in Lufthansa Group operational procurement topics.
- Oversee operational procurement of aircraft parts, materials, tools and consumables for maintenance operations
- Lead a team of around 8 FTE
- Ensure timely purchase and repair orders, including AOG support and alternative supplier sourcing
- Coordinate with engineering, planning, maintenance and inventory management on material needs and stock levels
- Manage supplier selection, negotiations and repair events for non-contracted repair and overhaul activities
- Monitor critical shipments and major component movements
- Maintain the approved vendor list and ensure regulatory compliance
- Drive process optimisation, digitisation, automation and KPI monitoring

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in aviation maintenance
- Proven leadership and strong people management capabilities
- Knowledge of aircraft systems, airworthiness regulations, aviation suppliers and the MRO market
- Supplier management, negotiation and performance monitoring experience
- Strong analytical, organisational, communication and negotiation skills
- Solution-oriented, hands-on and accountable mindset
- Proficient in English; Dutch and/or French is a plus
