Drive strategic sourcing for the leading global MRO provider Lufthansa Technik. Identify regional suppliers, make the best cost-benefit sourcing decisions and contribute to our commitment to excellence. Be part of a committed, international team shaping the future of aviation!

Tasks

Your main tasks include, among others:

  • Lead, conduct and coordinate purchasing projects related to contracted Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services, including tenders and contract negotiations, primarily with third-party suppliers, through phase-in and transition to routine operations
  • Actively and systematically analyze and evaluate the contracted MRO market, identify trends and opportunities, and identify top suppliers for company
  • Support the implementation of a regional material cycle
  • Derive initiatives and actions to support material availability, identify cost-saving opportunities, and explore production alternatives
  • Conduct commercial evaluations and negotiate offers to support optimal award decisions
  • Support special projects (e.g., Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), customer projects, IT tools, and process optimization)

Requirements

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • University degree, preferably in Engineering or Aviation
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in engineering or technical purchasing, preferably in aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) or similar technical services
  • Must possess legal work permit in Hong Kong
  • Independent working style with strong business, project management, analytical and conceptual skills
  • Strong organizational, communication, negotiation and customer relationship management skills
  • Ability to drive change, and demonstrate resilience and responsibility
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP and Power BI experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written
  • Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) or other Asian languages advantageous; German beneficial
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Asia-Pacific, Germany, and the USA
  • International driving licence is an advantage for travel in the USA
