This internship offers hands-on experience with real procurement data challenges and a unique opportunity to see how analytics drives operational impact across a major aviation organization.

This internship offers hands-on experience with real procurement data challenges and a unique opportunity to see how analytics drives operational impact across a major aviation organization. 

Tasks

Data & analytics (primary focus)

  • Support data cleanup, consolidation, and validation projects across procurement and supplier data; e.g., contributing to a global golden record for supplier master data or supporting contract data migration into a new system
  • Work with large datasets in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Query), optionally Python/ R, and Power BI to build reports and analyses
  • Help identify and resolve data conflicts and inconsistencies, and document the resolution logic
  • Support ad hoc data checks and simple analyses to validate results of ongoing data initiatives
  • Document methodology, assumptions, and findings
  • Participate in data integration efforts tied to procurement systems

Administrative & coordination (supporting role)

  • Supporting contact with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor outstanding requests and follow up on missing information
  • Update process documentation and records as workflows evolve

*Perform all other duties assigned or delegated by supervisors

Requirements

  • Availability of at least 120 hours/month
  • Very good command of English (C1); German is a plus
  • Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables)
  • Python, and/or R knowledge, or Power Query, Power BI experience are all strong assets (nice to have)
  • Interest in data analysis/data engineering: comfort with structured data, willingness to learn basic data quality/validation techniques
  • Good communication skills: comfortable reaching out to stakeholders and following up
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and comfortable documenting your own work
  • Proactive approach and willingness to learn
