The Capacity Management department is responsible for planning and optimizing the utilization of simulators for cockpit and safety service training at all LAT Group locations to maximize revenue. In addition to crews from the Lufthansa Group, numerous other airlines train on these simulators in accordance with the high-quality standards set by the German Federal Aviation Authority.

Tasks
Capacity Management plans the allocation of existing resources for LHG customers based on long-term demand; in the medium term, a revenue-focused approach is adopted to meet the needs of both internal and external customers.
As a Capacity Planning Manager (m/f/d), you will define the commercial framework for the utilization of our simulators and are responsible for optimizing capacity utilization to maximize revenue.
- Understand, anticipate, and influence customer demand for services
- Ensure sufficient capacity is available; coordinate additional capacity procurement as needed
- Coordinate the relationship between price, demand, capacity, and customer value
- Manage and optimize customer requests in the planning tool, taking into account restrictions and priorities, with the goal of achieving revenue-optimized utilization to maximize profitability
- Handle special assignments and project work
- Prepare for committee meetings

Requirements
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Cost-benefit awareness, excellent analytical skills, and a knack for numbers
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, business informatics, or a comparable field, with several years of relevant professional experience or vocational training; or a degree in business administration with a specialization in business management, plus many years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with methods and procedures for addressing and evaluating strategic issues
- Strong strategic understanding and a high degree of openness to innovation
- Strong ability to work in an interdisciplinary and goal-oriented manner
- A methodical, structured work style and creativity
- Assertiveness and the ability to work well in a team
- Strong communication and negotiation skills; business-level proficiency in English and German
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
