Tasks

You will support the Lufthansa Group Security Desk team - the 24/7 operational unit of Corporate Security Management within the Lufthansa Group - in:

  • Managing and implementing current projects, as well as continuously developing and improving internal processes
  • Internal stakeholder and quality management for Lufthansa Group airlines and business units
  • Identification, analysis, and assessment of security-related risks, as well as the associated communication and documentation
  • Active situation management in crisis situations and irregularities
  • Support for the follow-up of actual security incidents
  • Research activities on current security-related topics
  • Preparing presentations and project-related documents for the visual presentation of information and decision-making materials for management
  • Preparing, conducting, and documenting crisis drills and workshops, and organizing events
  • Maintaining and updating contact lists, alert plans, and emergency manuals

Requirements

  • At the time of the internship, you must be in at least your third semester of a degree program
  • You must be enrolled for the entire duration of the internship (a current certificate of enrollment and a written proof of mandatory internship must be included with the application) or the internship must take place between your bachelor’s and master’s programs (gap year)
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work in a team
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
  • Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics and tasks 
  • Interest in familiarizing yourself with unfamiliar areas of responsibility
  • Interest in aviation and aviation security, as well as in current geopolitical developments
  • Very good German and English skills (written and spoken)
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office
