Tasks

At Austrian Airlines, we take care of our famous red glow and, as part of the Lufthansa Group, we are jointly responsible for central purchasing for the global Group. Become a part of us and get a taste of the wide purchasing world of an airline with many exciting topics! 

As an active member of the purchasing team and in the Business Services department, this could soon be your job:

  • You will prepare market analyses and price comparisons
  • You will work on the creation and processing of tenders
  • You will help with supplier management and master data maintenance
  • You will assist with negotiations and the creation of contract documents
  • You create presentations and record documentation
  • You support internal customers with questions about purchase requisitions, web store and incoming goods
  • You support the attendance service at the Austrian Aviation Campus
  • You will get to know various areas of purchasing, including Vehicle Fleet Management, Onboard Equipment and Business Services

Requirements

  • You are enrolled for the entire duration of the internship (current certificate of enrollment must be enclosed with the application)
  • You are interested in the aviation industry and have the desire to familiarize yourself with various topics
  • You have analytical and conceptual thinking skills and strategic understanding
  • You have a high level of problem-solving skills
  • You have very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • You have a solid knowledge of MS Office
  • You have an unrestricted work permit for Austria/the European Union
