Tasks
What you'll do:
- Execute maintenance tasks and inspections on aircraft components, following guidance from the Operations Manager and established internal procedures
- Interpret and apply manufacturer maintenance documentation accurately
- Independently perform inspections, composite repairs, and sheet metal work on aircraft components
- Complete and sign off shop documentation upon task completion
- Make informed technical decisions to ensure efficient and timely maintenance execution
- Uphold quality standards and promote health and safety practices within the workshop
- Collaborate with the quality department to implement process improvements
- Assist with audit preparation and support audit activities
- Maintain proper care and organization of tools
- Contribute to daily workshop housekeeping
- Continuously develop technical skills and expertise
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company matters at all times
Behind the scenes
Requirements
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
- At least 3 years’ experience as a structural mechanic in MRO base maintenance or component shop environments
- Solid understanding of human factors and aviation regulations
- Proven expertise in structural repairs, sheet metal work, and/or hot bonding composite repairs
- Skilled in the assembly and disassembly of aircraft components
- Prior experience working with nacelle components and flight control repairs is highly desirable
- Proficient in English for reading and comprehending technical manuals and instructions (e.g. CMM, SRM, AMM)
- Basic computer skills necessary for accessing and utilizing maintenance documentation and procedures
- Strong sense of responsibility and accountability
- Capable of working independently
- Effective team player, contributing to collaborative progress on repair projects
- Committed to ongoing learning and professional development
- Open to attending both classroom and practical training sessions
