Tasks

The Director of Operations is fully responsible for LTPT shop performance, driving operational excellence, scalability, cost efficiency, quality, and reliable delivery across the value chain, while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. 

Responsibilities and Tasks including but are not limited to the following:

  • Define and execute Operations strategy aligned with corporate goals
  • Translate strategy into measurable KPIs (quality, cost, shop time, productivity)
  • Lead transformation, optimization, and growth initiatives
  • Ensure full end‑to‑end ownership of efficient, scalable operations
  • Manage budgets, resources, and CapEx/OpEx planning
  • Develop, lead, and succession-plan Managers
  • Foster high-performance culture and continuous improvement
  • Establish governance and cross-functional collaboration
  • Drive Lean, Operational Excellence, and KPI-based performance systems
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Support strategic projects with Managing Director and COO

Requirements

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven professional to join our team in a leadership role within an international, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical and business expertise, combined with excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. 

  • 5+ years’ experience in international leadership roles
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Economics
  • Experience in aviation, maintenance, or materials planning
  • Knowledge of logistics and operations
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP
  • Team-oriented with strong customer focus
  • Excellent planning and multitasking abilities
  • High flexibility, accountability, and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural competence
  • Willingness to work in Germany and abroad
