Tasks

  • Managing and prioritizing the product backlog
  • Creating, maintaining, and prioritizing backlog items (user stories) to ensure that the most valuable features are developed first.
  • Development and communication of a clear vision for the end product, as well as the definition of product goals
  • Close collaboration with customers/BU, users, and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide feedback
  • Serving as liaison between BU and development
  • Close coordination with the development team to explain requirements, define acceptance criteria, and participate in capacity planning
  • Eliminates blockers to enable on time development

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in data/analytics environments
  • Experience working with Data Warehousing solutions and data platforms 
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in managing and prioritizing product backlogs in tools like Jira or Trackspace
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines)
  • Familiarity with SQL (preferably Teradata SQL) and ETL processes/streams
  • Hands-on or good conceptual knowledge of Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake)
  • Experience or exposure to Databricks is a strong advantage
