Tasks

What you'll do:

  • Define and implement technical standards for Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) solutions, ensuring safety, reliability, and competitiveness
  • Develop Design Organization Approval (DOA) and Designated Engineering Representative (DER) repair solutions as cost-efficient alternatives to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) repairs, complying with Lufthansa Technik (LHT) standards
  • Lead new capability setup, collaborating with quality and production departments
  • Work with LHT engineering on repair projects and OEM technical issues
  • Lead technical investigations and provide reports for warranty claims
  • Support sales, customer service, and production with technical expertise
  • Maintain technical library for compliance
  • Manage budgets, develop team, set targets, and support Business Unit head in achieving KPIs

Requirements

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Engineering or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in the Aviation MRO industry, including at least 5 years in an engineering role within MRO or equivalent, with a strong technical and management background
  • Strategic knowledge and capabilities in the MRO market, airworthiness legislation, product knowledge, as well as materials, processes, and repair methods
  • Must posses legal work permit in China
  • Proficiency in Business English and Chinese (spoken and written)
  • Strong willingness to travel for business as required
