Tasks

Your main tasks include, among others:

  • Coordinate passenger services for LH & partner airlines, incl. flight prep, check-in supervision & irregularities (rebooking, vouchers, hotels)
  • Ensure compliance with procedures across all handling phases (boarding, catering, cleaning, punctuality)
  • Supervise handling staff (LH/OAL) and manage daily duty roster & staffing assignments
  • Handle overbooking processes (VDB/DBC) and support during irregular operations
  • Oversee customer handling standards (e.g. premium services, EU261 compliance)
  • Monitor KPIs (waiting times, stats accuracy, catering efficiency) and report issues
  • Act as main contact for passenger issues and support operational improvements

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need a combination of the following qualifications: 

  • High school diploma/GED required; college/vocational training or bachelor’s degree desirable
  • Minimum 2 years airline experience in flight handling, passenger service or operations
  • Fluency in English required; German/other languages desirable
  • Strong airline knowledge (LH experience a plus); completion of LH passenger service training preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office and standard airline systems
  • Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving, reasoning and quality focus
  • High reliability, professionalism, teamwork and accountability
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel 
  • Must possess a legal work permit in the U.S. 
  • Must be willing to work shifts
