Tasks
Our department is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of customs regulations and processes across the Lufthansa Group – from analyzing international requirements to designing innovative IT solutions.
- You develop and maintain customs guidelines, standards, and policies for the entire Lufthansa Group
- You monitor and analyze international customs regulations and identify resulting courses of action
- You design and optimize customs-relevant processes for imports and exports
- You build innovative IT solutions for customs classification and material master data
- You conduct customs governance audits and self-assessments
- You prepare and coordinate reports
- You design and deliver training measures and develop standardized training content
- You develop, maintain, and communicate customs requirements
- You support the implementation of group-wide environmental requirements related to customs (especially data flows and processes)

Requirements
For the position of Corporate Customs Specialist, you should bring the following qualifications and experience:
- A university degree (Master’s/Diploma)
- In-depth knowledge of customs law (EU and international) as well as customs processing of imports and exports
- At least 6 years of relevant professional experience
- Excellent proficiency in working with customs-related IT systems and ideally experience in process digitalization
- Outstanding communication skills (German/English)
- Team spirit and creativity in solving complex customs issues
- Experience in project management and related stakeholder communication
- Ability to creatively develop your own area of responsibility
- A strong understanding of the needs of business partners within the Group
