Tasks

Your main tasks include, among others:

  • Develop and execute the Americas regional strategy aligned with global and Business Unit objectives
  • Identify market expansion opportunities, including new locations, services, and partnerships
  • Own full P&L responsibility and drive revenue growth, profitability, and cost control
  • Lead regional budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, and cash flow management
  • Build strategic relationships with key customers and partners, leading major negotiations
  • Ensure operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and continuous service improvement
  • Lead and develop a high-performing regional leadership team in a global matrix organization
  • Represent the Americas in the global leadership team and align regional execution with global strategy

Requirements

To thrive in this role, we value a combination of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree desirable
  • 10+ years’ experience in logistics or freight forwarding with a Bachelor’s, or 7+ years with a Master’s
  • Strong industry knowledge in logistics and freight forwarding
  • Fluent English required; German and Spanish desirable
  • Advanced MS Office skills; Power BI user level
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • High customer focus, professionalism, reliability, and accountability
  • Team-oriented with strong judgment and commitment
  • Willingness to travel; valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to manage time pressure and high-stress environments
