Tasks

Our TAKE-OFF trainee program will introduce the participants to the LH Group and its culture, provide an environment for personal growth and provide the mentoring that is required to becoming a valuable part of Lufthansa America.

In this role your main tasks include, among others:

  • Design, develop, and implement projects according to departmental objectives and business priorities
  • Contribute to strategic concept development to drive innovation and strengthen the LHG’s competitive position in the industry
  • Analyze data and business processes, provide feedback for improvement, and recommend change management actions to support effective solutions
  • Build a strong understanding of operations by collaborating with leadership, department heads, and cross functional teams, and job shadowing
  • Drive innovation by proposing digital and forward thinking solutions that enhance the Lufthansa Group’s market position
  • Complete all assigned activities and training modules throughout the program

Behind the scenes

Lufthansa Trainee Program in Americas will take off on August 3rd, 2026

Selected trainees from all over the U.S. will embark on a 16-month journey where one will experience various aspects of our business through impactful and hands on project assignments.The program includes an international visit to the headquarters in Germany!

A global leader in Aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for airlines and aircraft operators worldwide. They offer a range of services including component and engine maintenance, interior & exterior modifications, technical support for airlines and aircraft operators

Lufthansa Group Business Services

We provide various back-office support services to LHG and its subsidiaries. Services include finance & accounting, procurement, HR, IT and administrative support. The goal of LGBS is to increase efficiency, reduce costs for the group by centralizing and streamlining various business processes

Requirements

To thrive in this role, we value a combination of the following requirements:

  • Graduated within the last 3 years from Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in the fields of Business, Economics, Engineering, Social Sciences, Political Science, Psychology, Aeronautics, or comparable
  • Experience in Aeronautics Industry & Processes desirable
  • Fluency in English
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Eligible to work permanently in the U.S. (as a U.S. Citizen or Resident). Note that Student Visas do not meet this requirement
  • Independent and proactive approach
  • Innovative and open to change
  • Communication skills
  • Willingness to travel
