    It is important to us that each salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. To ensure fair payment, each salary is calculated individually (Minimum salary according to KV: € 37.300). An experienced employee with extensive and relevant professional experience in this position earns approximately €3,300 gross per month, including various allowances.

Are you a skilled Machining Shop Worker with a passion for aviation? Join our dedicated team at Austrian Airlines, where your expertise will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of safety and performance for our aircraft.

Tasks

  • You perform metal structure repairs on aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance and repair instructions, ensuring precision and quality.
  • You assess damage in line with manufacturer guidelines
  • You manufacture bushings and bearings using lathe machinery to ensure high quality and accuracy.
  • You produce fuel tubes, hoses, and drain tubes using tube-bending machines to meet operational requirements.
  • You carry out welding and weld repairs on various aircraft components, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.
  • You manufacture specialized tools using lathe and milling machines to support and enhance maintenance capabilities.
  • You ream bore lugs and install bushings and bearings as part of essential component maintenance.
  • You perform maintenance and repairs on shop-related aircraft components in accordance with the Component Maintenance Manual.
  • You manage AOG (Aircraft on Ground) repairs efficiently under time-critical conditions to minimize aircraft downtime.

Requirements

  • You have completed a technical education or apprenticeship in aviation technology, mechanical engineering, metalworking, or a related field.
  • You have hands-on experience in metalworking, lathes, milling and tube-bending machines and hold valid welding certifications.
  • You have previous experience in the aviation industry, ideally in structural repairs or component maintenance (considered a strong advantage).
  • You are able to interpret and work from technical drawings and maintenance documentation.
  • You are flexible and willing to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • You demonstrate resilience and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • You have good spoken German or English skills.
  • You have basic computer skills and experience with maintenance systems.
  • You are a team player with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • You hold a Category B driving license (considered an advantage).
  • You have unrestricted access to the Austrian labor market.
