Specialist Internal Accounting Processes & Projects supports and shapes accounting and controlling processes across Lufthansa Group companies in the Bundled Solutions environment. The role combines finance expertise with process governance, stakeholder management, and transformation support, driving harmonization, organizational change, and continuous process improvement internationally.

Tasks

  • Support and coordinate monthly controlling activities, incl. internal allocations, reconciliations, reporting, and profitability analysis
  • Provide expert support in controlling, cost accounting, and financial steering processes
  • Support budgeting and planning activities in cooperation with stakeholders
  • Advise on harmonization and optimization of controlling and internal accounting processes
  • Support organizational changes
  • Support onboarding and transition activities for new entities and finance processes
  • Cooperate with SAP/IT teams
  • Contribute to development of tools and solutions supporting finance process effectiveness and data quality
  • Act as a trusted partner for controllers, finance managers, and business stakeholders
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate workshops, process discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Support communication and alignment between finance, business, and IT teams
  • Support audit activities

Requirements

  • Min. 6 years of professional experience in controlling, internal accounting, finance processes, or financial steering roles
  • Min. 3 years of experience in complex international environments
  • Proven experience in cross-functional cooperation between finance, controlling, business, and IT stakeholders
  • Experience supporting finance process improvements, migrations, or organizational changes
  • Experience working with multiple legal entities, business units, or international stakeholders
  • Experience acting as a business partner/advisor
  • Practical understanding of finance process interdependencies across RTR, P2P and O2C 
  • Practical experience working with ERP systems in finance and controlling environments (SAP ERP / SAP S4HANA preferred)
  • Very good MS Office skills
  • German skills (min. B2, written and spoken)
  • English – B2
