Tasks
As Tool and Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and maintaining of tooling, fixtures and equipment for aircraft and engine component maintenance, ensuring full compliance with airworthiness and legal requirements.
Responsibilities and Tasks including but are not limited to the following:
- Manage projects within the scope of T&E development or optimization and be fully responsible for quality, time and costs.
- Define, adapt, further develop and/or procure and maintain tooling and fixtures and be responsible for design and applicability under EASA145 and 21J requirements.
- Support the workshop by designing fixtures using CAD Software, creation of prototypes and final implementation of fixtures into the shop floor.
- Ensure that the production machines can be operated reliably and are continuously developed further.
- Take a driving role in the specification of new production machines
- Define maintenance and training concepts to ensure equipment availability.
- Support special initiatives.

Requirements
We are looking for a Tool and Equipment Engineer who will design and provide tools and fixtures, and ensure reliable machine operation by evaluating processes, systems, and products to meet quality, functionality, technical specifications, and airworthiness requirements.
- Very good written and spoken Portuguese and English skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong project implementation and management skills.
- Strong proficiency in mechanical systems development
- Good knowledge of general design and machine guidelines for the safe operation of machines and systems (e.g., CE, EN, DIN)
- Experience in the design of tooling and fixtures
- Proficient in MS Office, SAP and CAD.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot, data analysis and optimize system performance
- Knowledge of aviation legislation and business fundamentals.
