Tasks
The Customer Engineer is responsible for:
- Interfacing to Customer Engineering teams within APAC with frequent interaction within this matrix organization
- Representing Customer Engineering team for the inquiries from component customers within APAC
- Maintaining & expanding good working relationship with technical departments at airline customers
- Coordinating with Quality Department, Process Team. Act like an extended arm of existing APAC customer engineering team
- Obtaining customer feedback regularly & identify systematic process weaknesses
- Providing technical support to customer service & sales teams
- Evaluating technical trends in the MRO market
- With the help of global APAC Customer Engineering team, launch internal campaigns
* All other duties as assigned or required
Behind the scenes
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a combination of the below requirements:
- University or technical college degree, in Engineering, Aircraft/Aeronautical Engineering or Electronics & Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience of component overhaul, aircraft maintenance, reliability & technical services, ideally also a certified Design/Verification Engineer. Working experience in Part-145, CAMO, Part 21J Organization is preferred
- Excellent spoken & written English
- Knowledge of an Asian language or German is advantageous
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability & self-driven motivation to adapt & solve complex challenges
- Able to travel to Germany & within Asia
- Must possess work permit in Japan
