The Customer Support Engineer is the first point of contact for customers and the primary person responsible for the engine maintenance orders placed by the customer within the organization.

  • Define the scope of maintenance with the customer
  • Monitor and implement the agreed-upon scope of work in accordance with the customer contract and in compliance with OEM and aviation regulations
  • Communicate the progress of the work and review the order if necessary
  • Develop maintenance strategies for large fleet operators and discussing these with customers (sometimes on site)
  • Check outgoing invoices
  • Processing complaints and damage reports
  • Workshop support for engine projects
  • Monitoring project targets and, if necessary, initiating countermeasures in the event of deviations
  • Carry out possible troubleshooting and rectification during the course of the project
  • Maintaining internal company systems for processing workshop orders
  • Discuss technical issues with the engine manufacturers
  • Developing technical requirements to create a cost estimate/quotation draft
  • Actively participate in the planning, implementation and follow-up of internal and external projects
  • Preparation of presentations, recommendations for action and decision papers

  • Completed engineering studies (TH/ TU/ FH) in the field of mechanical engineering, aircraft or engine construction
  • Knowledge or understanding of business administration
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
  • Confident appearance and excellent communication skills, also in other cultures
  • Strong understanding in dealing with customers, especially from other cultures
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Quality awareness
  • Willingness to travel and ability to work under pressure
  • Experience in dealing with host system-based applications and modern means of communication
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office standard software
  • Willingness to undergo a psychological aptitude test
