Your main tasks include, among others:
- Assists the company in all matters regarding the safety of flight operations
- Maintain a relationship of trust with instructor pilots and students to enhance the open, non-punitive safety culture at Lufthansa Aviation Training
- Performs as a CFI (Certificated Flight Instructor) but is the first point of contact for all safety relevant matters
- Alongside the Director of Safety, Security and Compliance, the Safety Pilot will receive and process confidential safety reports, assist in performing investigations, risk assessments and root cause analysis
* Perform all other duties assigned or delegated by supervisors

To thrive in this role, we value a combination of the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Preferred
- FAA CFI, CFII
- Medical Class 1
- Previous experience as Lufthansa Aviation Training flight instructor preferred
- Experience with flight safety reporting and investigations preferred
