Tasks

  • Lead and develop local sales and handling operations, driving revenue growth, profitability, and market share.
  • Identify new business opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and monitor market trends and competitor activities.
  • Oversee safe, secure, and high-quality cargo and aircraft handling operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Manage relationships with business partners, service providers, authorities, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop local teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Implement Lufthansa Cargo’s global and regional strategy in the local market.
  • Oversee budgets, financial performance, and cost efficiency while ensuring effective processes and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in the airline, logistics, or transportation industry.
  • Strong understanding of airline or logistics operations, ideally with knowledge of Lufthansa Cargo’s processes and organizational structure.
  • Proven skills in people management, budgeting, cost control, and revenue management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel and a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work effectively under time pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to undergo the required assessment and screening procedures.
