Ready to gain hands-on experience in strategic procurement within the aviation industry?
Join our global Corporate Procurement team for a 6-month internship and gain international exposure across Hamburg, Miami, and Hong Kong while supporting sourcing, market analysis, supplier management, cost-saving initiatives, and procurement strategy development.
Tasks
Your main tasks include, among others:
- Support procurement projects related to component repair services, alternate sourcing initiatives & supplier evaluations
- Conduct market research & analysis on suppliers, industry trends, pricing developments & sourcing opportunities
- Assist in the preparation, coordination, & evaluation of RFQs
- Analyze procurement data & develop reports and presentations for management decision-making
- Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities & process improvement initiatives
- Support contract management activities & procurement compliance requirements
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain & Procurement teams
- Assist in preparing negotiation support materials, supplier comparison analyses & business cases

Behind the scenes
Requirements
The ideal Procurement Intern should fulfill the following requirements:
- Current enrollment/ recently graduate in a Bachelor's or Master's program with an emphasis on Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Aviation Management or a related field
- Strong interest in strategic procurement, sourcing, supplier management and aviation MRO services
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Ability to analyze large data sets and present findings in a structured manner
- High level of self-management, initiative, and willingness to learn
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Fluent in English language
- German or Spanish language is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in an international and cross-functional environment
- Must possess a legal work permit in the U.S.
