Tasks
As the Logistics Specialist, you will take on a diverse set of responsibilities, such as:
- Receiving and Shipping of aircraft/engine material and tooling as per described procedures
- Execute Engine and Engine Module shipping and receiving processes including loading, off-loading and verification processes
- Transportation of aircraft/engine material, Engines and Engine Modules withing the facility
- Physical handling of material, incl. opening packages and performing the packaging process
- Inventory and stock keeping of consumable items required in production
- Proactively work to resolve discrepancies as they occur
- Input data in electronic data processing systems
- Coordinate with service providers as required
- Recognize significance of required airworthiness certificates for aircraft material and properly applying associated regulatory requirements
* All other duties as assigned or required
Behind the scenes
Requirements
To thrive in this role, we value a combination of the following requirements:
- High School Diploma/ GED required
- 1 year experience in aviation logistics with experience in handling aviation material
- 1 year experience operating small and large forklifts
- 1 year experience in shipping Dangerous Goods
- Fluency in English language required
- French language desirable
- MS Office skills
- Excellent detail oriented
- Excellent quality consciousness
- Excellent commitment
- Excellent initiative
- Excellent teamwork
- Willingness to travel (mainly for training)
- Must possess a valid driver´s license
- Must be able to operate a forklift
- Willingness to work overtime / shifts and on weekends / holidays if required
- Lift up to 70lbs
- Must possess a legal work permit in Canada
