Tasks

Your responsibilities 

  • Perform line maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and defect rectification in accordance with EASA regulations and approved maintenance documentation.
  • Certify aircraft for return to service as an EASA Part-66 CAT B1.1 Aircraft Certifying Technician.
  • Interpret technical documentation, including the Minimum Equipment List (MEL), to ensure safe and compliant maintenance.
  • Diagnose technical faults and perform effective repair solutions.
  • Lead and coordinate maintenance activities during your shift, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time performance.
  • Supervise and support technicians within your area of responsibility, providing technical guidance and coaching.
  • Act as the Technical Manager's deputy during shift operations, making operational decisions when required.
  • Coordinate technical activities with flight crews, airport partners, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth station operations.
  • Support operational planning and cost awareness while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.

Requirements

Your profile

  • Obligatory: valid EASA Part-66 CAT B1.1 licence with type ratings on A320 Family (all engines), B777 (GE), and B787 (RR Trent/GE).
  • Additional type ratings on A350 (RR Trent) and/or A220 (PW) are an advantage.
  • Current Human Factors, EWIS, and Fuel Tank Safety certificates.
  • Recent certifying experience on EASA-registered aircraft (minimum 6 months within the last 24 months).
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken; German is an advantage.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Structured and proactive working style with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Previous leadership experience and the ability to guide, coach, and motivate team members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work in a rotating three-shift system and support assignments within the Lufthansa network when required.
  • Valid and unlimited Schengen Visa, driving licence.
  • Working pattern: rotating early, late, and night shifts.
