As a 24/7 Operations Specialist at Lufthansa Industry Solutions (LHIND), you ensure the continuous availability and stability of critical customer systems and digital services. Working in a shift-based environment, you act as the first line of defense for monitoring, incident handling, and operational excellence. 

Tasks

  • Monitor applications, infrastructure, and services in real time using enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Detect, analyze, and resolve incidents (L1/L2), or escalate to expert teams when required.
  • Ensure SLA compliance and high system availability for LHIND customers.
  • Execute operational tasks (job monitoring, health checks, batch processing).
  • Document incidents, maintain runbooks, and provide structured shift handovers.
  • Support change and deployment activities in coordination with DevOps teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, automation, and root cause analysis (RCA).

Requirements

  • Background in IT operations, NOC, or service desk environments.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus).
  • Basic understanding of cloud (Azure/AWS), infrastructure, and networking.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to work in 24/7 rotating shifts.
  • Fast and effective incident response.
  • German speaking is a plus.
  • High service uptime and SLA adherence.
  • Clear communication and documentation.
  • Proactive identification of issues and improvements.
