Tasks

As a Financial Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting services for small and medium-sized group companies while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal regulations. 

  • Perform end-to-end accounting activities for assigned entities
  • Process and post accounting documents and business transactions
  • Maintain accounting and master data in ERP systems
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payment transactions
  • Prepare cash flow reports and support treasury-related activities
  • Create provisions, accruals, fixed asset postings, and payroll-related accounting entries
  • Prepare internal financial reports and support tax reporting processes
  • Act as a subject matter expert across Record-to-Report, General Ledger, Tax, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash processes
  • Deliver workshops and training sessions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality service delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes, including:
    • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
    • Order-to-Cash (O2C)
    • Record-to-Report (R2R)
  • Knowledge of basic taxation principles
  • Solid knowledge of General Ledger accounting and financial reporting
  • Good understanding of HGB and IFRS standards
  • Experience with SAP FI; experience with other ERP systems is considered an advantage
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Very good command of German and English (min. B2 level)
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, including the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to present ideas and influence others
