Tasks
As a Flight Operations Officer working in a rotating shift system, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Ensuring a safe, punctual, and cost-efficient operation of LCAG flight operations in compliance with all legal and flight/operational regulations
- Independently planning routes and carrying out flight preparations for flights operated by Lufthansa Cargo aircraft and/or for other clients, as well as coordinating in case of irregularities
- Commercial evaluation of route planning while taking flight safety into account, including applying for landing and overflight permits and airport slots within the LCAG network
- Supporting cockpit crews before and during flights through briefings and all flight operations–relevant information
- Analyzing airports, routes, and flight performance at an operational level

Requirements
What you bring:
- High school diploma and completed vocational training or comparable professional experience
- Valid German Flight Operations Officer license or a “Flight Operations Officer Certificate” from the Lufthansa Group
- Solid knowledge of flight operations regulations and procedures, as well as experience with flight planning software
- Very good knowledge of Lufthansa Cargo’s organization and processes is an advantage
- Good geographical knowledge
- Strong planning and dispatching skills, with the ability to set priorities
- Confident use of modern IT and office communication systems
- Independent, responsible, and team-oriented working style
- Willingness to work shifts
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
