Tasks

  • Definition of supply chain risk management for the entire Lufthansa Group - from strategy to implementation
  • Development and implementation of all risk dimensions for a holistic management of our suppliers
  • Integration of the risk dimensions into a leading purchasing suite - you bring theory into practice
  • Preparation of decision papers for the top management of Purchasing and regular exchange with decision-makers within the Lufthansa Group
  • Analyzing global market and supplier risks and deriving recommendations for action
  • Participation in the development of early warning systems and KPIs for risk assessment
  • Supporting workshops and presentations for internal stakeholders and managers
  • Benchmarking and trend analyses

The internship is scheduled to start in March 2026 for 6 months. The internship is remunerated.

Requirements

  • Enrollment for the entire period of the internship (current certificate of enrollment and a written proof of mandatory internship must be enclosed with the application) or the internship between the Bachelor's and Master's degree program (gap year)
  • Degree in economics, logistics, supply chain management or a comparable field
  • Analytical thinking and a desire to understand and shape complex interrelationships
  • Confident handling of MS Office; initial experience with purchasing systems is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and enjoy working in an international environment
  • Initiative, structured way of working and interest in strategic issues
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
