The Data Engineer is responsible for:

  • Gathering & analyzing business requirements & expectations
  • Finding relation between business requirements & existing data model
  • Identification of new necessary data sources based on business requirements
  • Providing proof-of-concepts in direct cooperation with business
  • Planning of the stories & tasks including estimations for the realization of the identified requirements
  • Implementing new functionalities based on gathered & analyzed requirements
  • Developing changes & improvements in the existing processes
  • Implementation of import & export processes into & from the data warehouse
  • Preparation of documentation of the particular steps & the final product
  • Based on your performance, you may be offered a transition to an unlimited- Full term contract

* Participate in other duties as assigned

To excel in this role, you will need a combination of the following qualifications:

  • Work experience in Data Processing with Data Bases & Data Warehouses (database procedural language & ETL tools)
  • Very good knowledge in SQL, best would be in Teradata SQL
  • Understanding & experience in Data Warehouse principless
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge & understanding of cloud technology, best would be practical experience in MS Azure
  • Knowledge of Version Control tools
  • Very good analytical thinking skills
  • General knowledge of Unix/Linux systems
  • Database operations experience (partitioning, index/statistics maintenance, performance analysis)
  • Experience with Teradata technology
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Knowledge about Agile/Scrum methodologies, e.g spotify model, SAFe
  • Must be willing to work shifts
