Flying Station Engineer

The FSE is responsible to ensure the technical handling of our aircraft in all his aspects in outside stations and/or conveying flights and to return this aircraft to Brussels in accordance with all maintenance procedure and rules from Brussels Airlines technical department. The FSE must try to solve any operational or technical issue to protect our operation in the best possible time.

  • Accompany conveying flights to our African destinations and provide technical assistance to the aircraft during the entire journey, including all stops.
  • Remain in outstations for 1 or more days to support landings and departures with technical expertise, supervise refueling, and inspect parts, tooling and GSE.
  • Perform routine inspections, follow up on maintenance and repairs, solve eTLB issues and conduct troubleshooting in close cooperation with technicians and engineering.
  • Ensure accurate documentation in AMOS and deliver releases to service in a safe, timely and qualitative manner.
  • Maintain ground equipment, tools and workplaces while complying with all regulations and internal procedures.

  • Hold a current EASA Part 66 B1 License with type rating on A330 RR Trent 700.
  • Min 5 year of experience in civil aviation.
  • Min 2 year of experience as B1 or B2 (last 3 year practical experience in line maintenance).
  • Experience in structural assessments.
  • Borescope and full power run experience is a plus.
  • Fluent in English spoken and written is essential (Dutch or French is a plus).
  • Knowledge of AMOS is a plus.
  • Good understanding and use of aircraft technical documentation (AMM, SRM, TSM,…).
  • Highly motivated, flexible and pro-active. Stress resilient and communicative.
  • Hands-on problem solver. Safety and result oriented.
  • Autonomous and a team player.
