The Station Agent is responsible for:

  • Take appropriate measures in case of volume-, weight- and trim-critical flights
  • Ensure the aircraft is loaded in accordance with the corresponding loading instruction
  • Ensure necessary communication with relevant local and central departments
  • Calculate and issue tickets incl. re-issues, depending on local set-up in cooperation with RBCs
  • Handle irregularities in providing alternative flights, arranging ground transportation and hotel
  • Carry out all check-in and gate/boarding procedures in accordance with the appropriate guidelines and airline manuals
  • Arrange delivery of delayed baggage in accordance with the appropriate guidelines and airline manuals
  • Follow required safety and security procedures

 

* Taking on special tasks and deputations assigned by the superior

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a combination of the below requirements:

  • High school degree required
  • Vocational training desirable
  • 1-3 years of working experience desirable
  • Fluent knowledge of English, both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of German language desirable
  • Good general education
  • Driving license
  • PC skills
  • Diligent and systematic approach to work
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Desire to give excellent service
  • Sales skills, confident manner
  • Ability to make ad-hoc decisions
  • Good sociable and cooperative conduct
  • Team player
  • Possibly psychological aptitude test
  • Manage constant time pressure
  • No permanently assigned work station
  • Weather factors and noise pollution
  • Lifting of luggage up to 23kg/70lb
