Tasks

The role will be responsible for leading, motivating, & developing a team to ensure they provide high-quality service to meet set goals. The candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a strong part sales & part purchasing background, the ability to drive performance & achieve team goals.

Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and support the USM (Used Service Material) materials team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Report out to Commercial Manager on Programs Performances.
  • Manage Purchasing, Sales and Stock of material.
  • Support on identification of opportunities with new products.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve programs to help create new revenue streams.
  • Ensure close communication with Stakeholders in LTTS (e.g. quality, finance, operations) and LHT globally (Sales and Fulfilment)
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the team and the solutions provided.
  • Roll out Materials program strategy to optimise growth.

Requirements

The candidate should essentially fulfill the following requirements:

  • Third level education in Business, Management, or related field.
  • Knowledge of MRO business.
  • 5+ years in a material trading position.
  • Entrepreneurial outlook.
  • Ability to travel and attend Trade Shows.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle escalated issues with professionalism and tact.
  • Proficient in using MS Office & ERP software.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to Drive Improvements & Revenue Streams.
  • Ability to work & make decisions in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

LTTS is part of the EPAR (Engine Parts & Accessories Repair) network of Lufthansa Technik. The Company was founded in 1992 and we employ over 250 people in our state of the art facility in Shannon. All repairs are carried out in accordance with approvals of the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). LTTS is licensed by General Electric, Rolls-Royce and CFMI, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) of aircraft engines, to carry out repairs in accordance with their engine shop manuals, making LTTS unique as one of a small number of companies outside of the engine manufacturers who are licensed to carry out repairs. Our expertise and focus is on the repair of high pressure turbine (HPT) shrouds, high and low pressure turbine Nozzle Guide Vanes (HPT & LPT NGVs) from the CFM56 series, CF6-80C2 and CF34 type engines.
