You’ll refine work instructions, tooling documents, and inspection programs, tackle production challenges alongside the Operations team, and lead impactful projects that boost performance and efficiency across manufacturing.

As a Level 2 Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Create and update manufacturing instructions, tooling, and inspection documentation.
- Lead cross-functional projects to implement effective manufacturing solutions.
- Develop new processes and layouts to improve throughput, flexibility, and compliance.
- Identify waste, analyse root causes, and deliver sustainable improvements.
- Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality, cost, and timing goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with Operations teams.
- Analyse performance data and recommend improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean, process mapping, and statistical tools.
- Support equipment maintenance and manage tooling/equipment data in SAP.
- Optimise workflows through time studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis.
The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:
Education & Qualifications
- HND (or higher) in Mechanical discipline with strong CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred).
- Training in Lean, Continuous Improvement, and SPC desirable.
Experience & Knowledge
- 3–5 years leading manufacturing/engineering projects with proven process improvements.
- Strong Lean and problem-solving skills (Pareto, DMAIC, OEE, 5 Whys, 8D).
- Experienced in technical documentation, tooling, and inspection regimes.
- Knowledge of metal processing and aerospace finishing operations.
- Proficient in engineering drawings, metrology, ERP/MRP and CAD.
- Skilled in data-driven improvements, automation, and workflow optimisation.
- Strong communicator across technical and non-technical teams.
