 The Team Leader Flight Dispatch JFK is responsible for:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to allocated team, ensuring they have the necessary resources and skills to perform their tasks effectively, as well as maintain high standard of work performance
  • Monitor and enhance quality and safety standards in S/ZODN in collaboration with the S/ZOD leadership team
  • Maintain dispatch working procedures, handle occurrence processing (SRS and log), provide feedback to team members, and exchange information with other departments on dispatch-related matters
  • Conduct probation period and yearly evaluation (EAT) interviews with assigned team members, as well as intermediate review/outlook talks
  • Responsible for cost-centre S/ZODN with own budget (head and cost)

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a combination of the below requirements:

  • College graduate or equivalent transportation industry experience
  • Extensive Flight Dispatch experience in LX having a good understanding of the flight operations procedures and policies
  • Profound experience with FAA and NavCanada operations procedures and regulations
  • Knowledge of “the essentials” to form and maintain a successful team
  • 5 years of leadership experience, including personnel management
  • Fluency in English lenguage required
  • Word, Excel and Outlook as user
  • Ability to master difficult, challenging and conflict situations
  • Ability to focus and prioritize while maintaining an overview
  • Willingness to travel
  • Must possess a legal work permit in the U.S.
