As the Head of Public Affairs, you will be entrusted with a spectrum of responsibilities, including:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive public affairs and public relations strategy aligned with the company’s overall mission and business objectives
- Serve as a senior advisor to the CEO on communications, reputation, and policy matters
- Oversee contracts with external vendors to support GR and PR
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media and industry stakeholders
- Manage communications with key stakeholders including investors, customers, partners, and community leaders
- Develop and lead the organization’s government affairs strategy to influence public policy in line with business goals
- Build and maintain relationships with local, provincial, and federal policymakers, regulators, and government agencies

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a combination of the below requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Political Science or Communications plus MPA, MBA, Public Affairs, or double major in Communications & Political Science required
- 10+ years in public affairs, strategic communications, or related roles, with a strong track record of managing complex, high-profile issues
- 5–8+ years of hands-on media relations, including crisis communications and reputation management
- 7–10+ years in government relations, policy advocacy, and regulatory engagement at local, national, and/or international levels
- 7–10+ years building relationships with government, media, NGOs, and industry bodies
- Fluent in English language required
- Willing to work abroad and travel frequently
- Must possess a legal work permit in Canada
