The key responsibilities and duties of the Production Supervisor include:
- Lead night shift operations with a focus on safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Drive efficiency through lean principles, cross-department collaboration, and smart use of IT.
- Anticipate and adapt to change, ensuring clear communication and team understanding.
- Inspire a positive, engaged, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Develop talent through coaching, training, and fair performance management.
- Use SMART metrics and data analysis to improve processes and outputs.
The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:
- HNC/HND (or equivalent) in engineering/aircraft maintenance, recognised apprenticeship, or equivalent technical leadership experience.
- Proven people management in an operational, unionised environment.
- Strong communication, influencing, and performance management skills.
- Experience in coaching, team development, and process improvement.
- Knowledge of MRO operations, aviation regulations (CAA/FAA/EASA), and H&S requirements.
- PC literate with SAP, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Resilient, organised, and proactive leader with problem-solving abilities.
- Right to work in the UK; able to work night shifts and complete mandatory training.
