

Paint Sprayer (Night Shift)
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Paint Sprayer to join our night shift team, specializing in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft landing gear. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and application of protective coatings to aerospace components in line with OEM and industry standards.

The key responsibilities and duties of the Paint Sprayer (Night Shift) include, but are not limited to:
- Efficiently manage workload to meet night shift targets and adapt to changing priorities
- Apply aerospace-grade sealants and paints per technical specs and documentation
- Accurately mix compounds and ensure quality standards
- Carry out masking and surface prep before coating
- Operate and maintain spray equipment, booths, and ovens for optimal performance
- Follow environmental procedures and handle hazardous materials safely
- Maintain a clean, safe, SHE-compliant workspace
- Complete required documentation, including PER books
- Support team training and mentoring when qualified
The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Engineering apprenticeship preferred; minimum GCSE-level education
- Experienced paint sprayer, ideally in aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors
- Skilled in surface prep, coating systems, and quality control
- Familiar with aerospace paint specs (e.g., chromate primer, polyurethane topcoat)
- Able to read technical drawings and process instructions
- Detail-oriented with strong hand-eye coordination
- Good communicator and team player with basic health & safety knowledge
- Organised, punctual, and flexible with a quality-focused mindset
- Night shift: Sunday to Thursday, with occasional flexible hours
- Must understand manual handling and maintain a clean, 5S-compliant workspace
