We are looking for motivated and proactive students to support the People Development, Crisis Management and Special Project Management (Social impact) team for a period of 6 months.

The internship is split between two different departments.

People & Development (HR): Focuses on training, people development, change management, and corporate culture.

  • Support performance management and talent visibility tools
  • Assist with development initiatives across Lufthansa Group companies
  • Coordinate with European HQ and regional teams
  • Support in planning, scheduling and delivering people concepts and special projects

Crisis Management: Prepares and trains employees to assist in case of an airline emergency. 

  • Support Crisis Management in coordinating meetings, conferences and events (mainly workshops & trainings)
  • Maintain the Crisis Management volunteer database, online platform & emergency notification system

Social Impact Projects: in reference to social impact 

  • Developing engagement of employee volunteers in social impact events
  • Assist with internal/external communications
  • Opportunity to develop programs for local non-profit organizations

To thrive in this role, we value a combination of the following requirements:

  • Studies in psychology, business administration, social sciences or other related studies
  • 2 semesters completed before the start of the internship
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing and able to handle emotionally demanding Emergency Response topics
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure with a high degree of accuracy and self-organization
  • Ability to handle different projects simultaneously
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (especially PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in English
  • International experience preferred, but not required
  • Must possess work authorization in Germany and fulfill all criteria to get a J-1 visa for the U.S, or have a work-permit for the U.S.
