As a Project Manager in Automation Technology, you are responsible for the following tasks:

  • Project Manager and/or (Partial) Project Lead for the implementation of new automated storage systems with a focus on automation and control technology
  • Testing, commissioning, and technical approval of the new high-bay storage systems
  • Interface coordination and management between project teams, suppliers, planners, operating organizations, requesters
  • Integration of the technical commissioning of the storage systems into the process flows of Lufthansa Cargo
  • Support in commercial and legal matters, as well as change management

It houses central administrative and logistics areas of Lufthansa Cargo AG.
The building is part of a comprehensive modernization project aimed at optimizing air freight handling.

Welcome to Lufthansa Cargo.

You bring a completed engineering degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, industrial engineering, or relevant education & practical experience with equivalent knowledge:

  • Experience in the planning and implementation of automated systems in plant engineering
  • Project management experience for the control and execution of automation projects in terms of plan, time, and cost
  • Knowledge in programming PLC controllers as well as in the use of CAD and specialized software (e.g., EPLAN, TIA Portal, etc.) and in visualization and data interfaces of plant technology
  • Fluent German and good English
  • Strong planning, coordination, and disposition skills
  • Ability to work in a team and manage interdisciplinary topics and teams
  • Result-oriented thinking and action that spans across the company
