- You analyze political, regulatory, and economic developments at national and international levels that impact Austrian Airlines.
- You build and maintain strong relationships with political decision-makers, ministries, EU institutions, international organizations, business associations, and NGOs to promote our interests.
- You develop and implement strategies to strengthen Austrian Airlines’ regulatory and competitive position nationally, across Europe, and globally.
- You coordinate closely with internal teams and Lufthansa Group companies to align positions and influence relevant legislation.
- You contribute to bilateral and multilateral air transport negotiations to secure optimal market and access conditions.
- You monitor environmental and sustainability developments — especially within the EU Green Deal — and help shape aviation policy accordingly.

- You hold an advanced university degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Law, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field — ideally with a focus on aviation law or international regulatory affairs.
- You bring several years of experience in Austrian politics, public administration, or a related institution with a focus on aviation or economic policy.
- You understand political processes at national and EU levels, including key institutions and stakeholders.
- You think strategically and analytically, with a strong ability to turn ideas into
- You communicate with diplomacy and confidence when working with senior
- You assert yourself effectively in bilateral, multilateral, and high-stakes
- You speak fluent German and English, with excellent negotiation skills in both
- You have strong written and spoken skills in both German and English.
- You hold an unrestricted work permit for Austria.
