Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee all aspects of aircraft handling to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality
  • Coordinate Weight and Balance documentation with LHG Centralized Load Control
  • Supervise ramp functions and service partners during loading/unloading processes
  • Ensure proper cargo security, including luggage, mail, and cargo tie-downs
  • Manage fueling, catering, cleaning, and passenger boarding/deboarding activities
  • Conduct safety/load security checks and monitor performance during irregularities
  • Implement new procedures and support process improvements
  • Provide performance reports and document delays with reasons
  • Motivate teams to maintain high standards and uphold Lufthansa’s core values

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a combination of the below requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-3 years of work experience desirable in aircraft handling or knowledge of passenger handling and gate processes
  • Fluency in English language required
  • German language skills desirable
  • Knowledge of LHG specific or other airlines
  • Knowledge of airport procedures and processes
  • Successful completion of Training in Aircraft Handling (including DCS systems)
  • Valid ALS Qualification
  • Knowledge of Emergency Response (SERP) planning
  • Knowledge of passenger handling and gate processes preferred
  • PC skills including all MS Office programs
  • Must possess permit to work in Canada
  • Assessment screening
  • Willingness to travel and work shifts
  • Must be willing to travel to our remote stations upon agreeing with SM
