Our young team at the laboratory at Frankfurt Airport specializes in the analysis of aircraft fluids and supports customers with various issues relating to quality assurance.

Aircraft Fluids

Example of the various aircraft fluids that are analyzed in Lufthansa Technik AG's Frankfurt laboratory.

Determination of the acid number

Various chemical and physical parameters of the aircraft fluids are determined in the Frankfurt laboratory. One of these parameters is the acid number, which is determined by titration.

Drinking water sampling

The quality of the water on board the aircraft is checked regularly.

Microbial analysis of kerosene

The kerosene tanks and the kerosene itself are regularly inspected for microbial contamination.

To complete an internship in our company, you must be at least in your third semester at the time of the internship.

  • Enrolled for the entire duration of the internship (current certificate of enrollment and written proof of mandatory internship must be enclosed with the application)
  • Basic knowledge of chemistry desirable
  • Creativity and innovative spirit
  • Enjoy structured and independent work
  • Ability to process and present complex contexts convincingly
  • Team and communication skills
  • Confident handling of common MS Office programs (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
  • Very good written and spoken German & English skills
