The Finance and Tax Specialist is responsible for:

  • Checking and processing of the GST monthly data for GSTR1 in the local tool or through any other method
  • Checking of the reports, preparation and filing of all statutory returns - monthly/quarterly/annual returns under direct and indirect taxation EG GST TDS etc
  • Preparation of Income Tax/ GST returns viz GSTR1, GSTR2A, GSTR2B, ISD, GSTR9 etc and assist in review of submissions prepared by consultants
  • To maintain a current list of all topics pending with consultants including assessments, and liaise with Tax Consultants on a proactive basis for the company/companies you are handling
  • To navigate the Organisation through the present and the proposed changes in the GST regime impacting the business environment

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a combination of the below requirements:

  • Professional Financial Accounting degree or equivalent
  • 3 - 5 years of experience of work in corporate taxation
  • Preferably out of Tier 1 or Tier 2 Consulting Firms/companies
  • Should have handled GST filing across a few states
  • Several years of work experience in the area of Financial Accounting and corporate tax compliances
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office products especially Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems
  • Excellent knowledge of English both written and spoken
  • Diligent, independent and systematic approach to work
  • Team player
  • Ability to prioritise work flows
  • Courteous manner and social skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
  • Ability to deal with complex  issues
  • Must possess a legal work permit in India
