The key responsibilities and duties of the Material Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and maintain material supply schedules to meet production needs
  • Oversee daily work order material management, including stock sourcing and purchasing coordination
  • Assess volume requirements, ensuring alignment with production plans
  • Identify and mitigate material risks to prevent production disruptions
  • Ensure accurate data in MRP/ERP systems and resolve any discrepancies
  • Monitor BOM integrity and support inventory accuracy
  • Optimize material flow to production points and manage inventory levels
  • Implement and improve supply processes while supporting continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality regulations
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and support industrial relations
  • Train personnel as needed based on qualifications and experience

The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • GCSE or Equivalent
  • Degree or Equivalent in a relevant subject (desirable)
  • Apprenticeship (desirable)
  • Material planning experience, preferably in aviation
  • Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of BoM, routing, and production planning (MRP, scheduling)
  • Understanding of LEAN, JIT, and process improvement with hands-on experience

Working Conditions 

  • Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday (as needed)
  • 5S standard
  • 37.5 hours per week
