The key responsibilities and duties of the Production Control Supervisor include, but are not limited to:
- Drive Business Success – Prioritize safety, balance quality, cost, and delivery, and ensure disciplined execution. Seek pragmatic solutions while maintaining customer and regulatory trust.
- Ensure Compliance & Standards – Oversee Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality adherence, including COMAH responsibilities.
- Optimize Efficiency – Foster continuous improvement, manage team performance, and enhance IT utilization.
- Lead Change – Anticipate and adapt to change, challenge business decisions professionally, and communicate effectively.
- Inspire & Engage – Foster a culture of openness, teamwork, and pride, ensuring all voices are heard.
- Develop Talent – Provide training, coaching, and growth opportunities while maintaining optimal staffing levels.
- Simplify Complexity – Use SMART metrics, data analysis, and new technologies to drive performance and efficiency.
- Manage Workflow – Oversee WIP, facilitate production meetings, and ensure on-time completion and delivery.
The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:
Education and Qualifications
- HNC/HND (or equivalent) preferably in an engineering or aircraft maintenance discipline or;
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or;
- Demonstrable equivalent experience leading technical teams
Experience and Knowledge
- People management in a unionized operational environment
- Strong communicator with proven ability to engage and influence teams
- Performance management and team development expertise
- MRO operations and aviation regulations (CAA/FAA/EASA) knowledge
- Process improvement and change management experience
- Health & Safety regulations awareness
- Proficient in SAP, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
