The key responsibilities and duties of the Disassembly Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • Disassemble customer landing gears I.A.W the manufacturer instructions (CMM)
  • Avoid additional damage and work with team to communicate required improvements to tooling and processes
  • Work to tight deadlines
  • Control of personal and company tools
  • Awareness and understanding of LTLGS computer based MOE (IQMove)
  • Uphold housekeeping standards
  • Report to Leading Hand / Team Leader if damage occurs so that improvements can be investigated
  • Embrace an open reporting culture
  • Participate and contribute to team dialog meetings
  • Carry out missing and damaged inspections

The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • GCSE A-C (or equivalent) in relevant subjects
  • Engineering qualification (desirable)
  • Apprenticeship in mechanical assembly/disassembly (preferred)
  • Experience with hand tools, PPE, overhead cranes, and forklifts (advantageous)
  • Team player, good communicator, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Able to work independently, follow instructions, and prioritize safety & quality
  • Good manual dexterity

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible hours, including weekend overtime
  • Training on overhead cranes
  • Heavy lifting of aircraft components

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have the right to live/work in the UK
  • Must be willing to work shifts
