Your main tasks include, among others:

  • Coordinate Weight and Balance documentation with Lufthansa's Centralized Load Control
  • Supervise ramp functions, aircraft loading/unloading, and service partners
  • Perform safety/load security checks and oversee handling during irregularities
  • Manage aircraft handling phases, including catering, fueling, cargo, crew, and passenger processes
  • Ensure proper securing of cargo, mail, and luggage in compartments
  • Track passenger count, luggage, cargo, mail weight, and fuel amounts
  • Monitor handling performance, report delays, and support process improvements
  • Motivate service partners to maintain high-quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, and LHG guidelines
  • Carry out briefings, special tasks, and enforce LHG product and safety philosophy

To thrive in this role, we value a combination of the following requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in aircraft handling or passenger/gate processes preferred
  • Fluency in English required; German language skills desirable
  • Knowledge of Lufthansa or other airline operations and airport procedures
  • Completion of Aircraft Handling Training, including DCS systems
  • Valid ALS Qualification and knowledge of Emergency Response (SERP) planning
  • Proficiency in MS Office and general PC skills
  • Must possess a legal work permit in Canada
  • Assessment screening may be required
  • Willingness to travel
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Able to work shifts, overtime, and handle high-pressure situations
  • Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs.
