Finance Specialist

(Fixed-term contract for 12 months)

In your role, you are responsible for the country specific adaption of Lufthansa Group processes in Finance and Business Administration in Hungary. You are ensuring compliance to both, local country specific regulations and internal group policies. You are responsible for the delivery of the services in your scope by ensuring efficiency, quality, compliance and customer satisfaction.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with local requirements related to Corporate Accounting
  • Ensuring the timely filing of tax declarations and payment of taxes; assisting at tax audits and tax litigations
  • Managing bank guarantees, local bank administration
  • Defining and constantly verifying local invoicing specifics; coordinating local document archiving
  • Supporting procurement during the finalization of contracts from tax compliance and finance perspective
  • Fulfilling local business administration and compliance tasks (e.g. company registration, GDPR, UBO, KYC, etc.)
  • Handling escalations with vendors or business partners in case of late, wrong or double payments
  • Supporting in engaging local law firms for handling passenger claims and other legal cases

The ideal Finance Specialist should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Business, or related field + 3 years of experience, or High School Diploma + 7 years of experience
  • Fluent in English with strong knowledge of fiscal law and tax compliance
  • Proficient in MS Office; SAP experience is a plus
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and quality-focused
  • Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills
  • Organized, independent, and able to manage complex tasks
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
