As an Intern you will work at the heart of our Operations with the following tasks:

  • Build proof of concept applications using optimization techniques (example: Mixed-Integer Linear Programming) to improve operations on a daily basis. Your work can really influence daily operations in a wide variety of topics, some examples include improving passenger connections, delays, ATC slots, among others.
  • Aid the data science department in improving operational predictions using machine learning techniques (example: XGBoost, LightGBM, Prophet)
  • Deploy proof of concept applications or trained models to the cloud (example: Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders to design proof of concepts which meet the requirements in the most optimal way

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s students or graduates in Aviation, Engineering or Data Science is of advantage (Bachelor’s students must have completed at least three semesters)
  • Experience in one or more of the following database and programming languages: Python, SQL, C#, Angular
  • Knowledge about machine learning, optimization techniques and cloud infrastructures is of advantage
  • Self-dependence with very proactive attitude and creativity, able to learn quickly
  • Follows an analytical approach and acts as a team player
  • Very good spoken and written English skills, German is of advantage
