The Innovation Runway drives innovation at Lufthansa, bringing together ideas, implementers, and resources. We’re a small, dynamic team based in Vienna, Zurich, and Frankfurt, dedicated to building a vibrant data and innovation community — and we’re looking for an intern to join us on this journey!
In our team you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the planning and organization of events like the Data Community Days and Innovation Roadshow: this may include liaising with speakers and panelists, managing event registration and attendee communication, coordinating logistics, and helping set up event spaces
- Supporting internal communication initiatives: focusing on drafting copy for intranet, posts, newsletters, and presentations, as well as brainstorming creative storytelling ideas

Our team is a diverse blend of nationalities and backgrounds, so we value your skills and creativity more than your specific degree and previous experience. We’re looking for someone who will bringing fresh, innovative ideas to event themes, designs, and communications strategies.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Enrolled for the entire period of the internship (current certificate of enrollment and a written proof of mandatory internship must be enclosed with the application) or the internship between the Bachelor's and Master's degree program (Gap Year)
- Enthusiasm for innovation, data, and technology
- Experience with coordinating and organizing events is preferred, but not required
- Confidence in working with diverse, international teams and stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English, including drafting articles and promotional materials
